Cougars vs Bulls Final: 42-27 - Recap
Clayton Tune's 380-yard performance through the air was the key in Houston's 42-27 win over USF on Saturday at TDECU Stadium.
The Cougars won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -17.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Clayton Tune completed 31 of 37 pass attempts for 380 yards for the Cougars in the win.
Brian Battie rushed for 106 yards for USF, while Michel Dukes added 21 yards. Katravis Marsh threw for 275 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Xavier Weaver and Brian Battie had 84 and 47 yards respectively.
USF lost the offensive yardage battle to Houston 490-429 yards in Saturday's game. USF had more first downs as that total ended up 25-23.
USF lost the time of possession battle 30:07-29:53, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Houston takes its act on the road to face SMU looking for another win. For USF, they head on the road to face Temple.
