Bulldogs Fall 38-14 Against South Alabama - Game Recap
The battle between the Jaguars and Bulldogs didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as LA Tech was handed a 38-14 defeat on Saturday at Hancock Whitney Stadium.
South Alabama was a favorite by -13.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 59.0.
La'Damian Webb rushed for 75 yards, while Braylon McReynolds added 51 yards in the win. Caullin Lacy and Jalen Wayne added 40 and 37 receiving yards respectively.
Greg Garner rushed for 51 yards for LA Tech, while Marquis Crosby added 21 yards. Parker McNeil threw for 251 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Tre Harris and Smoke Harris had 85 and 84 yards respectively.
LA Tech was outgained by South Alabama 389-308 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-17 by the Jaguars.
The time of possession battle favored LA Tech as their offense was on the field for 31:09, longer than the 28:51 of their opponents.
South Alabama looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Louisiana-Lafayette. LA Tech will aim to get back on the winning track vs. UTEP.
