Cardinals vs Golden Flashes Final: 27-20 - Recap

Ball State got a 192-yard performance from Carson Steele as a key part of its 27-20 victory over the Golden Flashes on Tuesday at Dix Stadium.

The Cardinals were a +7.0-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 61.5.

Carson Steele rushed for 192 yards, while Vaughn Pemberton added 7 yards in the win. Jayshon Jackson and Tanner Koziol added 102 and 68 receiving yards respectively.

Marquez Cooper rushed for 168 yards for Kent State, while Collin Schlee added 42 yards. Collin Schlee threw for 183 yards for the Golden Flashes, while receivers Ja'Shaun Poke and Trell Harris had 87 and 52 yards respectively.

Kent State lost the offensive yardage battle to Ball State 438-408 yards in Tuesday's game. Kent State had more first downs as that total ended up 27-23.

The time of possession battle favored Ball State as their offense was on the field for 31:15, longer than the 28:45 of their opponents.

Ball State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Toledo. Kent State will aim to get back on the winning track at Bowling Green.
