Troy Falls 42-13 to Wildcats - Recap
The battle between the Wildcats and Trojans didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Troy was handed a 42-13 defeat on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
Bettors who backed the Wildcats were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -14.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 48.5.
Treshaun Ward rushed for 58 yards, while DJ Giddens added 52 yards in the win. Phillip Brooks and Jadon Jackson added 94 and 77 receiving yards respectively.
Kimani Vidal rushed for 83 yards for Troy, while Asa Martin added 7 yards. Gunnar Watson threw for 167 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Chris Lewis and Jabre Barber had 50 and 42 yards respectively.
Troy lost the offensive yardage battle to Kansas State 397-286 yards in Saturday's game. Kansas State had more first downs as that total ended up 20-15.
Kansas State lost the time of possession battle 30:23-29:37, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Kansas State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Missouri. Troy will aim to get back on the winning track vs. James Madison.
