Wolverines vs Rebels Final: 35-7 - Recap
UNLV couldn't hang with the Wolverines on Saturday as Michigan blasted the Rebels 35-7 in Week 2 action at Michigan Stadium.
The Wolverines earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -38.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 57.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Blake Corum rushed for 80 yards, while J.J. McCarthy added 38 yards in the win. Roman Wilson and Cornelius Johnson added 89 and 82 receiving yards respectively.
Jordan Younge-Humphrey rushed for 23 yards for UNLV, while Vincent Davis Jr. added 17 yards. Doug Brumfield threw for 100 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Jacob De Jesus and Dominic Gicinto had 46 and 40 yards respectively.
UNLV lost the offensive yardage battle to Michigan 492-229 yards in Saturday's game. Michigan had more first downs as that total ended up 23-15.
The time of possession battle favored Michigan as their offense was on the field for 31:06, longer than the 28:54 of their opponents.
Next game, Michigan takes its act home to face Bowling Green looking for another win. For UNLV, they head home to face Vanderbilt.
