Navy Midshipmen vs Memphis Tigers Wrap - Memphis Wins 28-24
Blake Watson ran for 169 yards as Memphis handled Navy by a score of 28-24 on Thursday at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
Memphis did not, however, defeat the Midshipmen against the spread, which closed at -11.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 47.0.
Blake Watson rushed for 169 yards, while Seth Henigan added 20 yards in the win. Blake Watson and Roc Taylor added 68 and 64 receiving yards respectively.
Alex Tecza rushed for 163 yards for Navy, while Daba Fofana added 53 yards. Tai Lavatai threw for 133 yards for the Midshipmen, while receivers Brandon Chatman and Daba Fofana had 58 and 24 yards respectively.
Navy led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:49-27:11 split in that important category.
Next game, Memphis takes its act on the road to face Missouri looking for another win. For Navy, they head home to face USF.
