Recap - Rebels Defeat UTEP 45-28
UNLV earned a 45-28 victory over UTEP on Saturday in Week 4 action at Sun Bowl.
UNLV won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +2.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 49.5.
Jai'Den Thomas rushed for 100 yards, while Vincent Davis Jr. added 97 yards in the win. Ricky White and Senika McKie added 62 and 33 receiving yards respectively.
Torrance Burgess Jr. rushed for 99 yards for UTEP, while Deion Hankins added 8 yards. Gavin Hardison threw for 225 yards for the Miners, while receivers Kelly Akharaiyi and Marcus Bellon had 92 and 50 yards respectively.
UNLV outgained UTEP 497-316 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-21 by the Rebels.
The time of possession battle favored UTEP as their offense was on the field for 30:09, longer than the 29:51 of their opponents.
UNLV heads into a 5 battle against Hawaii. UTEP, meanwhile, will have their next action against LA Tech.
