Western Michigan Broncos vs Mississippi State Bulldogs Wrap - Mississippi State Wins 41-28
Mississippi State earned a 41-28 victory over Western Michigan on Saturday in Week 6 action at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.
Mississippi State did not, however, defeat the Broncos against the spread, which closed at -21.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 55.5.
Seth Davis rushed for 65 yards, while Keyvone Lee added 49 yards in the win. Freddie Roberson and Lideatrick Griffin added 68 and 65 receiving yards respectively.
Zahir Abdus-Salaam rushed for 60 yards for Western Michigan, while CJ Hester added 47 yards. Hayden Wolff threw for 262 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Kenneth Womack and Leroy Thomas had 113 and 61 yards respectively.
Western Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to Mississippi State 440-413 yards in Saturday's game. Mississippi State had more first downs as that total ended up 25-21.
Mississippi State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:22-28:38 split in that important category.
Next game, Mississippi State takes its act on the road to face Arkansas looking for another win. For Western Michigan, they head home to face Miami-OH.
