Golden Bears Fall 50-49 Against USC - Game Recap
USC's aerial attack produced 369 yards and the Trojans produced a 50-49 victory over California on Saturday at FTX Field at California Memorial Stadium.
The Trojans earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -10.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 67.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Caleb Williams completed 23 of 40 pass attempts for 369 yards for the Trojans in the win.
Jaydn Ott rushed for 153 yards for California, while Fernando Mendoza added 48 yards. Fernando Mendoza threw for 292 yards for the Golden Bears, while receivers Jeremiah Hunter and Trond Grizzell had 96 and 91 yards respectively.
California outgained USC 527-497 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 29-20 by the Golden Bears.
California lost the time of possession battle 32:36-27:24, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
USC looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Washington. California will aim to get back on the winning track at Oregon.
