UNLV Rebels vs New Mexico Lobos Wrap - UNLV Wins 56-14
UNLV won 56-14 on Saturday against New Mexico behind a 165-yard receiving performance from Ricky White at University Stadium.
The Rebels were a -15.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 57.5.
Vincent Davis Jr. rushed for 64 yards, while Jai'Den Thomas added 49 yards in the win. Ricky White and Dominic Gicinto added 165 and 56 receiving yards respectively.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt rushed for 86 yards for New Mexico, while Devon Dampier added 32 yards. Devon Dampier threw for 9 yards for the Lobos, while receivers D.J. Washington and Caleb Medford had 78 and 70 yards respectively.
New Mexico was outgained by UNLV 416-362 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-17 by the Lobos.
UNLV lost the time of possession battle 37:18-22:42, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, UNLV takes its act home to face Wyoming looking for another win. For New Mexico, they head on the road to face Boise State.
