Western Michigan Broncos vs NIU Huskies Wrap - NIU Wins 24-0
NIU got a 159-yard performance from Antario Brown as a key part of its 24-0 victory over the Broncos on Tuesday at Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium.
The Huskies were a -4.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 57.5.
Antario Brown rushed for 159 yards, while Jaylen Poe added 44 yards in the win. Chris Carter and Trayvon Rudolph added 33 and 22 receiving yards respectively.
Jalen Buckley rushed for 26 yards for Western Michigan, while Zahir Abdus-Salaam added 13 yards. Hayden Wolff threw for 182 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Leroy Thomas and Anthony Sambucci had 87 and 37 yards respectively.
Western Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to NIU 386-206 yards in Tuesday's game. NIU had more first downs as that total ended up 21-11.
NIU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 39:25-20:35 split in that important category.
NIU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Kent State. Western Michigan will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Bowling Green.
