Kennesaw State Owls vs UTSA Roadrunners Recap - Roadrunners Win 28-16
Owen McCown was good for 340 yards through the air on Saturday as the Roadrunners got past the Owls by a score of 28-16 at Alamodome.
UTSA did not, however, defeat the Owls against the spread, which closed at -23.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 48.0.
Owen McCown completed 28 of 38 pass attempts for 340 yards for the Roadrunners in the win.
Qua Ashley rushed for 26 yards for Kennesaw State, while Davis Bryson added 21 yards. Davis Bryson threw for 202 yards for the Owls, while receivers Qua Ashley and Carson Kent had 51 and 40 yards respectively.
Kennesaw State lost the offensive yardage battle to UTSA 416-253 yards in Saturday's game. UTSA had more first downs as that total ended up 17-15.
The time of possession battle favored UTSA as their offense was on the field for 31:00, longer than the 29:00 of their opponents.
UTSA heads into a Week 2 battle against Texas State. Kennesaw State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Louisiana-Lafayette.
