Eagles Fall 56-45 Against Boise State - Game Recap

Boise State got a 267-yard performance from Ashton Jeanty as a key part of its 56-45 victory over the Eagles on Saturday at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.

Boise State did not, however, defeat the Eagles against the spread, which closed at -13.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 57.5.

Ashton Jeanty rushed for 267 yards, while Sire Gaines added 110 yards in the win. Cameron Camper and Latrell Caples added 99 and 81 receiving yards respectively.

JC French rushed for 39 yards for Georgia Southern, while Jalen White added 35 yards. JC French threw for 322 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Derwin Burgess Jr. and Dalen Cobb had 93 and 55 yards respectively.

Georgia Southern lost the offensive yardage battle to Boise State 651-461 yards in Saturday's game. Georgia Southern had more first downs as that total ended up 27-23.

Georgia Southern led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:29-28:31 split in that important category.

Next game, Boise State takes its act on the road to face Oregon looking for another win. For Georgia Southern, they head on the road to face Nevada.
