Houston Falls 27-7 to Rebels - Recap
Houston couldn't hang with the Rebels on Saturday as UNLV blasted the Cougars 27-7 in Week 1 action at TDECU Stadium.
The Rebels were a +3.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 56.0.
Michael Allen rushed for 65 yards, while Matthew Sluka added 59 yards in the win. Jaden Bradley and Jacob De Jesus added 60 and 42 receiving yards respectively.
Parker Jenkins rushed for 17 yards for Houston, while Zeon Chriss added 16 yards. Ui Ale threw for 74 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Mekhi Mews and Stephon Johnson had 57 and 32 yards respectively.
The time of possession battle favored UNLV as their offense was on the field for 31:27, longer than the 28:33 of their opponents.
UNLV heads into a 2 battle against Dixie State. Houston, meanwhile, will have their next action against Oklahoma.
