Cowboys Fall 48-7 Against Arizona State - Game Recap

Arizona State cruised to victory on Saturday, as they ran up a 48-7 score against Wyoming in Week 1 action at Mountain America Stadium.

Bettors who backed the Sun Devils were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -6.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 47.0.

Cam Skattebo rushed for 49 yards, while DeCarlos Brooks added 47 yards in the win. Kyson Brown and Jordyn Tyson added 73 and 49 receiving yards respectively.

DJ Jones rushed for 43 yards for Wyoming, while Sam Scott added 26 yards. Kaden Anderson threw for 36 yards for the Cowboys, while receivers Tyler King and Chris Durr Jr. had 23 and 16 yards respectively.

Wyoming lost the offensive yardage battle to Arizona State 499-118 yards in Saturday's game. Arizona State had more first downs as that total ended up 27-8.

The time of possession battle favored Arizona State as their offense was on the field for 37:04, longer than the 22:56 of their opponents.

Next game, Arizona State takes its act home to face Mississippi State looking for another win. For Wyoming, they head home to face Idaho.
