Texas Tech Falls 37-16 to Cougars - Recap

John Mateer scampered through the Texas Tech defense for 197 yards as Washington State handed the Red Raiders a 37-16 defeat on Saturday at Gesa Field at Martin Stadium.

Washington State was an underdog by +2.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 65.0.

John Mateer rushed for 197 yards, while Wayshawn Parker added 69 yards in the win. Josh Meredith and Kris Hutson added 54 and 25 receiving yards respectively.

Cameran Brown rushed for 70 yards for Texas Tech, while Cam'Ron Valdez added 34 yards. Behren Morton threw for 323 yards for the Red Raiders, while receivers Josh Kelly and Caleb Douglas had 95 and 71 yards respectively.

Washington State lost the offensive yardage battle to Texas Tech 491-416 yards in Saturday's game. Texas Tech had more first downs as that total ended up 24-18.

Washington State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:05-29:55 split in that important category.
