Wolverines Fall 31-12 Against Texas - Game Recap

The Wolverines came up short against the Longhorns in Week 2 action on Saturday, falling 31-12 at Michigan Stadium.

Bettors who backed the Longhorns were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -6.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 42.5.

Ryan Wingo rushed for 55 yards, while Jerrick Gibson added 36 yards in the win. Gunnar Helm and Isaiah Bond added 98 and 51 receiving yards respectively.

Donovan Edwards rushed for 41 yards for Michigan, while Kalel Mullings added 25 yards. Davis Warren threw for 204 yards for the Wolverines, while receivers Colston Loveland and Semaj Morgan had 70 and 45 yards respectively.

Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to Texas 389-284 yards in Saturday's game. Texas had more first downs as that total ended up 19-13.

The time of possession battle favored Texas as their offense was on the field for 31:20, longer than the 28:40 of their opponents.

Texas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against UTSA. Michigan will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Arkansas State.
