UNLV Defeats Kansas 23-20 - Recap
Matthew Sluka tore up the turf for 124 rushing yards on Friday to lead the Rebels to a 23-20 win over the Jayhawks at Children's Mercy Park.
UNLV won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +9.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 57.5.
Matthew Sluka rushed for 124 yards, while Jai'Den Thomas added 20 yards in the win. Jaden Bradley and Jai'Den Thomas added 31 and 27 receiving yards respectively.
Devin Neal rushed for 120 yards for Kansas, while Jalon Daniels added 65 yards. Jalon Daniels threw for 153 yards for the Jayhawks, while receivers Lawrence Arnold and Devin Neal had 58 and 33 yards respectively.
UNLV led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:06-28:54 split in that important category.
UNLV looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Fresno State. Kansas will aim to get back on the winning track at West Virginia.
