Recap - Chippewas Defeat Ball State 37-34
B.J. Harris tore up the turf for 151 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Chippewas to a 37-34 win over the Cardinals at Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
The Chippewas won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -6.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
B.J. Harris rushed for 151 yards, while Marion Lukes added 86 yards in the win. Chris Parker and Evan Boyd added 79 and 78 receiving yards respectively.
Braedon Sloan rushed for 94 yards for Ball State, while Kiael Kelly added 28 yards. Kadin Semonza threw for 285 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Tanner Koziol and Qian Magwood had 112 and 98 yards respectively.
Central Michigan outgained Ball State 527-431 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 27-19 by the Cardinals.
Central Michigan lost the time of possession battle 36:40-23:20, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Central Michigan looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against San Diego State. Ball State will aim to get back on the winning track at James Madison.
