Longhorns Down Mississippi State 35-13 - Match Report
Arch Manning was good for 324 yards through the air on Saturday as the Longhorns got past the Bulldogs by a score of 35-13 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Texas did not, however, defeat the Bulldogs against the spread, which closed at -36.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 59.0.
Arch Manning completed 26 of 31 pass attempts for 324 yards for the Longhorns in the win.
Johnnie Daniels rushed for 75 yards for Mississippi State, while Davon Booth added 59 yards. Michael Van Buren Jr. threw for 144 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Kevin Coleman Jr. and Mario Craver had 57 and 46 yards respectively.
Mississippi State lost the offensive yardage battle to Texas 522-294 yards in Saturday's game. Texas had more first downs as that total ended up 21-19.
The time of possession battle favored Mississippi State as their offense was on the field for 34:57, longer than the 25:03 of their opponents.
Texas heads into a Week 7 battle against Oklahoma. Mississippi State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Georgia.
