Dukes vs Cardinals Final: 63-7 - Recap

Ball State couldn't hang with the Dukes on Saturday as James Madison blasted the Cardinals 63-7 in Week 5 action at Showker Field at Bridgeforth Stadium.

James Madison won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -22.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 56.0.

Wayne Knight rushed for 63 yards, while Alonza Barnett III added 60 yards in the win. Taylor Thompson and Omarion Dollison added 91 and 48 receiving yards respectively.

Braedon Sloan rushed for 72 yards for Ball State, while Charlie Spegal added 6 yards. Kadin Semonza threw for 168 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Tanner Koziol and Cam Pickett had 78 and 53 yards respectively.

Ball State was outgained by James Madison 522-250 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 29-19 by the Dukes.

The time of possession battle favored Ball State as their offense was on the field for 33:41, longer than the 26:19 of their opponents.

Next game, James Madison takes its act on the road to face Louisiana-Monroe looking for another win. For Ball State, they head home to face Western Michigan.
