Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks vs Troy Trojans Wrap - Louisiana-Monroe Wins 13-9
The Trojans had no answer for Ahmad Hardy on Saturday as the Warhawks rolled to a 13-9 win at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Louisiana-Monroe won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +6.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 46.0.
Ahmad Hardy rushed for 106 yards, while Aidan Armenta added 10 yards in the win. Jake Godfrey and Tyler Griffin added 57 and 40 receiving yards respectively.
Gerald Green rushed for 102 yards for Troy, while Damien Taylor added 71 yards. Goose Crowder threw for 14 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Zeriah Beason and Devonte Ross had 30 and 29 yards respectively.
Louisiana-Monroe lost the offensive yardage battle to Troy 272-247 yards in Saturday's game. Troy had more first downs as that total ended up 16-13.
Troy led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:31-29:29 split in that important category.
Next game, Louisiana-Monroe takes its act home to face James Madison looking for another win. For Troy, they head home to face Texas State.
