Bobcats vs Zips Final: 30-10 - Recap
Parker Navarro scampered through the Akron defense for 113 yards as Ohio handed the Zips a 30-10 defeat on Saturday at Peden Stadium.
Ohio won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -8.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 46.5.
Parker Navarro rushed for 113 yards, while Anthony Tyus III added 109 yards in the win. Coleman Owen and Max Rodarte added 130 and 23 receiving yards respectively.
Charles Kellom rushed for 12 yards for Akron, while Jordon Simmons added 3 yards. Ben Finley threw for 196 yards for the Zips, while receivers Adrian Norton and Bobby Golden had 59 and 49 yards respectively.
Akron lost the offensive yardage battle to Ohio 440-178 yards in Saturday's game. Ohio had more first downs as that total ended up 21-14.
The time of possession battle favored Ohio as their offense was on the field for 34:27, longer than the 25:33 of their opponents.
Ohio heads into a Week 7 battle against Central Michigan. Akron, meanwhile, will have their next action against Bowling Green.
