Texas State Defeats Troy 38-17 - Recap
The battle between the Bobcats and Trojans didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Troy was handed a 38-17 defeat on Thursday at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Texas State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -14.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go PUSH the closing number of 55.0.
Torrance Burgess Jr. rushed for 85 yards, while Jordan McCloud added 72 yards in the win. Kole Wilson and Jaden Williams added 77 and 73 receiving yards respectively.
Damien Taylor rushed for 63 yards for Troy, while Mojo Dortch added 15 yards. Tucker Kilcrease threw for 249 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Landon Parker and Peyton Higgins had 83 and 76 yards respectively.
Troy was outgained by Texas State 467-331 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-19 by the Bobcats.

Texas State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Arkansas State. Troy will aim to get back on the winning track at South Alabama.
