Temple Falls 29-20 to Huskies - Recap
TJ Sheffield was good for 141 receiving yards on Saturday as the Huskies grabbed a 29-20 win over the Owls at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
The Huskies earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -17.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 49.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Durell Robinson rushed for 52 yards, while Cam Edwards added 40 yards in the win. TJ Sheffield and Brett Buckman added 141 and 49 receiving yards respectively.
Terrez Worthy rushed for 95 yards for Temple, while Antwain Littleton added 17 yards. Forrest Brock threw for 136 yards for the Owls, while receivers Dante Wright and John Adams had 67 and 21 yards respectively.
UCONN outgained Temple 371-270 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-16 by the Huskies.
The time of possession battle favored UCONN as their offense was on the field for 30:50, longer than the 29:10 of their opponents.
UCONN looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Wake Forest. Temple will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Tulsa.
