Iowa Falls 35-7 to Buckeyes - Recap
Iowa couldn't hang with the Buckeyes on Saturday as Ohio State blasted the Hawkeyes 35-7 in Week 6 action at Ohio Stadium.
The Buckeyes were a -17.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 45.5.
Quinshon Judkins rushed for 78 yards, while TreVeyon Henderson added 61 yards in the win. Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Egbuka added 89 and 71 receiving yards respectively.
Kaleb Johnson rushed for 86 yards for Iowa, while Brendan Sullivan added 27 yards. Cade McNamara threw for 98 yards for the Hawkeyes, while receivers Luke Lachey and Reece Vander Zee had 39 and 29 yards respectively.
Iowa was outgained by Ohio State 412-226 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 21-10 by the Buckeyes.
Iowa lost the time of possession battle 34:46-25:14, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Ohio State takes its act on the road to face Oregon looking for another win. For Iowa, they head home to face Washington.
