Alabama Defeats South Carolina 27-25 - Recap
The Crimson Tide were Week 7 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Gamecocks by a score of 27-25 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama did not, however, defeat the Gamecocks against the spread, which closed at -21.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 50.5.
Jam Miller rushed for 42 yards, while Jalen Milroe added 36 yards in the win. Germie Bernard and Cole Adams added 89 and 57 receiving yards respectively.
Raheim Sanders rushed for 78 yards for South Carolina, while LaNorris Sellers added 19 yards. LaNorris Sellers threw for 238 yards for the Gamecocks, while receivers Mazeo Bennett Jr. and Nyck Harbor had 57 and 40 yards respectively.
Alabama lost the offensive yardage battle to South Carolina 374-313 yards in Saturday's game. South Carolina had more first downs as that total ended up 23-20.
South Carolina led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:40-28:20 split in that important category.
Next game, Alabama takes its act on the road to face Tennessee looking for another win. For South Carolina, they head on the road to face Oklahoma.
