Mississippi State Falls 41-31 to Bulldogs - Recap

Carson Beck sliced and diced the Bulldogs defense for 459 yards as Georgia handed Mississippi State a 41-31 defeat on Saturday at Sanford Stadium.

The Bulldogs won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -34.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Carson Beck completed 36 of 48 pass attempts for 459 yards for the Bulldogs in the win.

Davon Booth rushed for 32 yards for Mississippi State, while Johnnie Daniels added 29 yards. Michael Van Buren Jr. threw for 306 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Kevin Coleman Jr. and Mario Craver had 103 and 75 yards respectively.

Mississippi State was outgained by Georgia 605-385 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 28-17 by the Bulldogs.

The time of possession battle favored Georgia as their offense was on the field for 33:38, longer than the 26:22 of their opponents.

Next game, Georgia takes its act on the road to face Texas looking for another win. For Mississippi State, they head home to face Texas A&M.
