Louisiana-Monroe Defeats Southern Miss 38-21 - Recap

Ahmad Hardy tore up the turf for 121 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Warhawks to a 38-21 win over the Golden Eagles at JPS Field at James L. Malone Stadium.

The Warhawks were a -5.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 41.0.

Ahmad Hardy rushed for 121 yards, while Aidan Armenta added 52 yards in the win. Ahmad Hardy and Jake Godfrey added 53 and 48 receiving yards respectively.

Ethan Crawford rushed for 70 yards for Southern Miss, while Kenyon Clay added 47 yards. Ethan Crawford threw for 165 yards for the Golden Eagles, while receivers Dannis Jackson and Larry Simmons had 47 and 46 yards respectively.

Southern Miss lost the offensive yardage battle to Louisiana-Monroe 432-347 yards in Saturday's game. Southern Miss had more first downs as that total ended up 18-17.

The time of possession battle favored Louisiana-Monroe as their offense was on the field for 33:15, longer than the 26:45 of their opponents.

Louisiana-Monroe looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against South Alabama. Southern Miss will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Arkansas State.
