Nittany Lions Down USC 33-30 - Match Report

Drew Allar was good for 391 yards through the air on Saturday as the Nittany Lions got past the Trojans by a score of 33-30 at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Penn State won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -3.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 52.0.

Drew Allar completed 30 of 43 pass attempts for 391 yards for the Nittany Lions in the win.

Woody Marks rushed for 111 yards for USC, while Quinten Joyner added 82 yards. Miller Moss threw for 220 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Makai Lemon and Woody Marks had 73 and 44 yards respectively.

USC lost the offensive yardage battle to Penn State 518-409 yards in Saturday's game. Penn State had more first downs as that total ended up 28-16.

The time of possession battle favored Penn State as their offense was on the field for 32:22, longer than the 27:38 of their opponents.

Penn State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Wisconsin. USC will aim to get back on the winning track at Maryland.
