Midshipmen vs 49ers Final: 51-17 - Recap
Charlotte couldn't hang with the Midshipmen on Saturday as Navy blasted the 49ers 51-17 in Week 8 action at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
Navy was the ATS victor, as they covered the -16.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 57.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Alex Tecza rushed for 68 yards, while Blake Horvath added 56 yards in the win. Alex Tecza and Eli Heidenreich added 46 and 36 receiving yards respectively.
Max Brown rushed for 67 yards for Charlotte, while Cartevious Norton added 59 yards. Max Brown threw for 152 yards for the 49ers, while receivers Miles Burris and Duane Thomas Jr. had 48 and 31 yards respectively.
Navy lost the offensive yardage battle to Charlotte 363-288 yards in Saturday's game. Charlotte had more first downs as that total ended up 22-18.
Charlotte led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:12-27:45 split in that important category.
Navy heads into a Week 9 battle against Notre Dame. Charlotte, meanwhile, will have their next action against Memphis.
