Washington State Defeats Hawaii 42-10 - Recap

Washington State cruised to victory on Saturday, as they ran up a 42-10 score against Hawaii in Week 8 action at Gesa Field at Martin Stadium.

The Cougars were a -18.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 55.5.

Djouvensky Schlenbaker rushed for 48 yards, while John Mateer added 34 yards in the win. Kris Hutson and Kyle Williams added 90 and 59 receiving yards respectively.

Cam Barfield rushed for 47 yards for Hawaii, while Christian Vaughn added 32 yards. Brayden Schager threw for 196 yards for the Rainbow Warriors, while receivers Nick Cenacle and Tylan Hines had 48 and 42 yards respectively.

Hawaii lost the offensive yardage battle to Washington State 444-300 yards in Saturday's game. Washington State had more first downs as that total ended up 23-17.

The time of possession battle favored Washington State as their offense was on the field for 32:30, longer than the 27:30 of their opponents.

Washington State heads into a Week 9 battle against San Diego State. Hawaii, meanwhile, will have their next action against Nevada.
