Aggies Fall 50-45 Against New Mexico - Game Recap

Devon Dampier scampered through the Utah State defense for 105 yards as New Mexico handed the Aggies a 50-45 defeat on Saturday at Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium.

Bettors who backed the Lobos were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -1.0 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 78.5.

Devon Dampier rushed for 105 yards, while Eli Sanders added 75 yards in the win. Luke Wysong and Ryan Davis added 156 and 77 receiving yards respectively.

Rahsul Faison rushed for 79 yards for Utah State, while Herschel Turner added 54 yards. Spencer Petras threw for 360 yards for the Aggies, while receivers Jalen Royals and Broc Lane had 188 and 51 yards respectively.

Utah State lost the offensive yardage battle to New Mexico 552-503 yards in Saturday's game. New Mexico had more first downs as that total ended up 28-23.

Utah State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:10-31:06 split in that important category.

New Mexico looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Colorado State. Utah State will aim to get back on the winning track at Wyoming.
