Ball State Cardinals vs Vanderbilt Commodores Wrap - Vanderbilt Wins 24-14

The Cardinals were burned by Eli Stowers for 130 receiving yards on Saturday as the Commodores picked up a 24-14 win at FirstBank Stadium.

The Commodores earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -27.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 56.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Diego Pavia rushed for 82 yards, while Sedrick Alexander added 41 yards in the win. Eli Stowers and Junior Sherrill added 130 and 43 receiving yards respectively.

Vaughn Pemberton rushed for 32 yards for Ball State, while Braedon Sloan added 28 yards. Kadin Semonza threw for 190 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Tanner Koziol and Braedon Sloan had 68 and 48 yards respectively.

Vanderbilt outgained Ball State 420-268 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-16 by the Commodores.

Vanderbilt led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:35-25:25 split in that important category.

Next game, Vanderbilt takes its act home to face Texas looking for another win. For Ball State, they head home to face NIU.
