Iowa State Defeats UCF 38-35 - Recap
The Knights were burned by Jaylin Noel for 153 receiving yards on Saturday as the Cyclones picked up a 38-35 win at Jack Trice Stadium.
Iowa State won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -13.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 49.5.
Rocco Becht rushed for 97 yards, while Carson Hansen added 91 yards in the win. Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins added 153 and 58 receiving yards respectively.
RJ Harvey rushed for 196 yards for UCF, while Jacurri Brown added 154 yards. Jacurri Brown threw for 62 yards for the Knights, while receivers Kobe Hudson and Randy Pittman Jr. had 26 and 20 yards respectively.
UCF was outgained by Iowa State 530-416 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 28-14 by the Cyclones.
The time of possession battle favored Iowa State as their offense was on the field for 37:28, longer than the 22:32 of their opponents.
Iowa State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Texas Tech. UCF will aim to get back on the winning track vs. BYU.
