Recap - Tigers Defeat Virginia 48-31
Cade Klubnik was good for 308 yards through the air on Saturday as the Tigers got past the Cavaliers by a score of 48-31 at Memorial Stadium.
Clemson did not, however, defeat the Cavaliers against the spread, which closed at -20.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 57.5.
Cade Klubnik completed 23 of 35 pass attempts for 308 yards for the Tigers in the win.
Kobe Pace rushed for 35 yards for Virginia, while Xavier Brown added 32 yards. Tony Muskett threw for 119 yards for the Cavaliers, while receivers Ethan Davies and Malachi Fields had 65 and 65 yards respectively.
Virginia was outgained by Clemson 539-346 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 28-20 by the Tigers.
Virginia lost the time of possession battle 34:03-26:04, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Clemson looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Louisville. Virginia will aim to get back on the winning track vs. North Carolina.
