UTEP Falls 14-10 to Bulldogs - Recap
The Bulldogs were Week 9 winners on Tuesday, coming out on top of the Miners by a score of 14-10 at Joe Aillet Stadium.
The Bulldogs earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -7.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 49.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Jimmy Holiday rushed for 18 yards, while Amani Givens added 11 yards in the win. Jimmy Holiday and Solo Lewis added 93 and 48 receiving yards respectively.
Jevon Jackson rushed for 112 yards for UTEP, while JP Pickles added 53 yards. Skyler Locklear threw for 76 yards for the Miners, while receivers Kam Thomas and Trey Goodman had 67 and 13 yards respectively.
UTEP was outgained by LA Tech 255-251 yards in Tuesday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 14-12 by the Miners.
LA Tech led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:12-28:48 split in that important category.
LA Tech looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Sam Houston State. UTEP will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Middle Tennessee.
