Liberty Flames vs Kennesaw State Owls Recap - Owls Win 27-24

The Flames came up short against the Owls in Week 9 action on Wednesday, falling 27-24 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

Kennesaw State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +27.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 48.0.

Michael Benefield rushed for 54 yards, while Qua Ashley added 52 yards in the win. Jaden Robinson and Christian Moss added 72 and 56 receiving yards respectively.

Kaidon Salter rushed for 87 yards for Liberty, while Billy Lucas added 52 yards. Kaidon Salter threw for 206 yards for the Flames, while receivers Elijah Canion and Donte Lee Jr. had 61 and 38 yards respectively.

Kennesaw State lost the offensive yardage battle to Liberty 386-323 yards in Wednesday's game. Liberty had more first downs as that total ended up 22-18.

The time of possession battle favored Kennesaw State as their offense was on the field for 32:19, longer than the 27:41 of their opponents.

Next game, Kennesaw State takes its act on the road to face WKU looking for another win. For Liberty, they head home to face Jacksonville State.
