Georgia State Falls 33-26 to Mountaineers - Recap
The Panthers had no answer for Ahmani Marshall on Saturday as the Mountaineers rolled to a 33-26 win at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
The game was a push (tie) for betting purposes as the final score was identical to the -7.0 number at most sportsbooks. The game proved to be a winner for PUSH bettors based on the closing total of 59.0.
Ahmani Marshall rushed for 115 yards, while Kanye Roberts added 38 yards in the win. Kaedin Robinson and Makai Jackson added 121 and 67 receiving yards respectively.
Michel Dukes rushed for 81 yards for Georgia State, while Freddie Brock added 67 yards. Zach Gibson threw for 192 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Ted Hurst and Petey Tucker had 57 and 33 yards respectively.
Georgia State lost the offensive yardage battle to Appalachian State 479-386 yards in Saturday's game. Appalachian State had more first downs as that total ended up 25-20.
Appalachian State lost the time of possession battle 30:34-29:26, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Appalachian State takes its act home to face Old Dominion looking for another win. For Georgia State, they head on the road to face UCONN.
