Kent State Falls 52-21 to Broncos - Recap

Jaden Nixon tore up the turf for 135 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Broncos to a 52-21 win over the Golden Flashes at Waldo Stadium.

Western Michigan was the ATS victor, as they covered the -18.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 61.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Jaden Nixon rushed for 135 yards, while Zahir Abdus-Salaam added 83 yards in the win. Kenneth Womack and Blake Bosma added 68 and 59 receiving yards respectively.

Ky Thomas rushed for 62 yards for Kent State, while Tommy Ulatowski added 29 yards. Tommy Ulatowski threw for 114 yards for the Golden Flashes, while receivers Luke Floriea and Chrishon McCray had 43 and 23 yards respectively.

Kent State lost the offensive yardage battle to Western Michigan 579-250 yards in Saturday's game. Western Michigan had more first downs as that total ended up 23-19.

Kent State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:15-29:45 split in that important category.

Western Michigan looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against NIU. Kent State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Ohio.
