Recap - Bearkats Defeat LA Tech 9-3
The Bulldogs came up short against the Bearkats in Week 10 action on Tuesday, falling 9-3 at Elliot T. Bowers Stadium.
The Bearkats earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -10.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 45.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Jay Ducker rushed for 72 yards, while Hunter Watson added 16 yards in the win. Noah Smith and Simeon Evans added 47 and 43 receiving yards respectively.
Omiri Wiggins rushed for 49 yards for LA Tech, while Amani Givens added 27 yards. Evan Bullock threw for 148 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Tru Edwards and Eli Finley had 80 and 46 yards respectively.
LA Tech outgained Sam Houston State 312-268 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-11 by the Bulldogs.
Sam Houston State lost the time of possession battle 32:33-27:27, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Sam Houston State takes its act on the road to face Kennesaw State looking for another win. For LA Tech, they head home to face Jacksonville State.
