Midshipmen Down USF 28-7 - Match Report
The battle between the Midshipmen and Bulls didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as USF was handed a 28-7 defeat on Saturday at Raymond James Stadium.
Bettors who backed the Midshipmen were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -4.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 58.5.
Eli Heidenreich rushed for 84 yards, while Daba Fofana added 75 yards in the win. Alex Tecza and Brandon Chatman added 38 and 14 receiving yards respectively.
Kelley Joiner rushed for 23 yards for USF, while Bryce Archie added 15 yards. Bryce Archie threw for 282 yards for the Bulls, while receivers JeyQuan Smith and Sean Atkins had 85 and 70 yards respectively.
USF lost the offensive yardage battle to Navy 379-342 yards in Saturday's game. Navy had more first downs as that total ended up 18-17.
Navy led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 38:32-21:28 split in that important category.
Next game, Navy takes its act home to face Tulane looking for another win. For USF, they head on the road to face Charlotte.
