Flames vs Blue Raiders Final: 37-17 - Recap

Quinton Cooley ran for 136 yards as Liberty handled Middle Tennessee by a score of 37-17 on Saturday at Johnny (Red) Floyd Stadium.

Liberty won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -11.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 53.5.

Quinton Cooley rushed for 136 yards, while Kaidon Salter added 94 yards in the win. Elijah Canion and Tyson Mobley added 54 and 35 receiving yards respectively.

Jaiden Credle rushed for 27 yards for Middle Tennessee, while Nicholas Vattiato added 26 yards. Nicholas Vattiato threw for 263 yards for the Blue Raiders, while receivers Holden Willis and Cam'ron Lacy had 81 and 40 yards respectively.

Middle Tennessee lost the offensive yardage battle to Liberty 500-351 yards in Saturday's game. Liberty had more first downs as that total ended up 30-18.

Middle Tennessee lost the time of possession battle 30:23-29:37, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Liberty looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Massachusetts. Middle Tennessee will aim to get back on the winning track vs. New Mexico State.
