Recap - Roadrunners Defeat North Texas 48-27
Owen McCown led the way with 379 passing yards on Friday as the Roadrunners picked up a 48-27 victory over the Mean Green at Alamodome.
The Roadrunners were a -1.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 73.0.
Owen McCown completed 29 of 43 pass attempts for 379 yards for the Roadrunners in the win.
Shane Porter rushed for 193 yards for North Texas, while Chandler Morris added 29 yards. Chandler Morris threw for 241 yards for the Mean Green, while receivers Damon Ward Jr. and Blair Conwright had 85 and 69 yards respectively.
North Texas lost the offensive yardage battle to UTSA 681-480 yards in Friday's game. UTSA had more first downs as that total ended up 30-20.
The time of possession battle favored UTSA as their offense was on the field for 39:16, longer than the 20:44 of their opponents.
Next game, UTSA takes its act home to face Temple looking for another win. For North Texas, they head home to face East Carolina.
