Boston College Eagles vs SMU Mustangs Recap - Mustangs Win 38-28
Brashard Smith tore up the turf for 120 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Mustangs to a 38-28 win over the Eagles at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
SMU won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -19.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 54.5.
Brashard Smith rushed for 120 yards, while LJ Johnson Jr. added 21 yards in the win. Jordan Hudson and Roderick Daniels Jr. added 99 and 79 receiving yards respectively.
Kye Robichaux rushed for 90 yards for Boston College, while Jordan McDonald added 63 yards. Grayson James threw for 237 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Reed Harris and Jeremiah Franklin had 78 and 42 yards respectively.
Boston College lost the offensive yardage battle to SMU 438-417 yards in Saturday's game. SMU had more first downs as that total ended up 25-23.
The time of possession battle favored Boston College as their offense was on the field for 35:09, longer than the 24:51 of their opponents.
