Kennesaw State Falls 23-17 to Bearkats - Recap

Jay Ducker scampered through the Kennesaw State defense for 111 yards as Sam Houston State handed the Owls a 23-17 defeat on Saturday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

Sam Houston State won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -21.0-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 42.5.

Jay Ducker rushed for 111 yards, while Hunter Watson added 62 yards in the win. Simeon Evans and Qua'Vez Humphreys added 64 and 53 receiving yards respectively.

Davis Bryson rushed for 46 yards for Kennesaw State, while Michael Benefield added 43 yards. Davis Bryson threw for 137 yards for the Owls, while receivers Blake Bohannon and Christian Moss had 55 and 24 yards respectively.

Kennesaw State lost the offensive yardage battle to Sam Houston State 382-243 yards in Saturday's game. Sam Houston State had more first downs as that total ended up 21-13.

Kennesaw State lost the time of possession battle 32:24-27:57, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
