Buckeyes Down Northwestern 31-7 - Match Report

Northwestern couldn't hang with the Buckeyes on Saturday as Ohio State blasted the Wildcats 31-7 in Week 12 action at Wrigley Field.

Ohio State did not, however, defeat the Wildcats against the spread, which closed at -28.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 43.5.

Quinshon Judkins rushed for 76 yards, while TreVeyon Henderson added 74 yards in the win. Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate added 100 and 52 receiving yards respectively.

Cam Porter rushed for 37 yards for Northwestern, while Joseph Himon II added 8 yards. Jack Lausch threw for 201 yards for the Wildcats, while receivers Bryce Kirtz and A.J. Henning had 92 and 42 yards respectively.

Northwestern was outgained by Ohio State 420-251 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-17 by the Buckeyes.

The time of possession battle favored Northwestern as their offense was on the field for 32:00, longer than the 28:00 of their opponents.

Ohio State heads into a 13 battle against Indiana. Northwestern, meanwhile, will have their next action against Michigan.
