Houston Falls 20-10 to Bears - Recap
Bryson Washington scampered through the Houston defense for 113 yards as Baylor handed the Cougars a 20-10 defeat on Saturday at TDECU Stadium.
The Bears were a -7.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 51.0.
Bryson Washington rushed for 113 yards, while Dawson Pendergrass added 41 yards in the win. Michael Trigg and Ashtyn Hawkins added 96 and 65 receiving yards respectively.
Re'Shaun Sanford II rushed for 37 yards for Houston, while Zeon Chriss added 27 yards. Zeon Chriss threw for 126 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Stephon Johnson and Maliq Carr had 54 and 23 yards respectively.
Houston lost the offensive yardage battle to Baylor 325-239 yards in Saturday's game. Baylor had more first downs as that total ended up 20-14.
Houston lost the time of possession battle 34:52-25:08, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Baylor takes its act home to face Kansas looking for another win. For Houston, they head on the road to face BYU.
