Panthers Fall 27-26 Against Kennesaw State - Game Recap

Kennesaw State earned a 27-26 victory over FIU on Saturday in Week 13 action at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

Kennesaw State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +9.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 42.5.

Qua Ashley rushed for 61 yards, while Davis Bryson added 45 yards in the win. Carson Kent and Blake Bohannon added 56 and 40 receiving yards respectively.

Devonte Lyons rushed for 99 yards for FIU, while Ross Fournet added 49 yards. Keyone Jenkins threw for 204 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Eric Rivers and Dean Patterson had 125 and 72 yards respectively.

FIU outgained Kennesaw State 400-358 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-15 by the Owls.

The time of possession battle favored FIU as their offense was on the field for 31:27, longer than the 28:33 of their opponents.

Next game, Kennesaw State takes its act on the road to face LA Tech looking for another win. For FIU, they head home to face Middle Tennessee.
