Ole Miss Defeats Mississippi State 26-14 - Recap

Ulysses Bentley IV tore up the turf for 136 rushing yards on Friday to lead the Rebels to a 26-14 win over the Bulldogs at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field.

Ole Miss did not, however, defeat the Bulldogs against the spread, which closed at -26.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 63.0.

Ulysses Bentley IV rushed for 136 yards, while Jaxson Dart added 77 yards in the win. Caden Prieskorn and Jordan Watkins added 53 and 39 receiving yards respectively.

Davon Booth rushed for 38 yards for Mississippi State, while Johnnie Daniels added 10 yards. Michael Van Buren Jr. threw for 280 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Kevin Coleman Jr. and Kelly Akharaiyi had 118 and 54 yards respectively.

Mississippi State was outgained by Ole Miss 397-330 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 21-16 by the Rebels.

The time of possession battle favored Ole Miss as their offense was on the field for 31:43, longer than the 28:17 of their opponents.
